Golden Sand Living is a 400 m² private villa reconstruction on the coast of Mauritius (Black River), created for a family who wanted to preserve the exceptional value of an existing oceanfront location while transforming the property into a refined contemporary residence. The client’s request was not simply to renovate the house, but to elevate it into a new level of architecture, comfort and luxury coastal living — without losing the rare privilege of being so close to the water.
The essence of the project was defined by its location. The villa already had one of the most valuable qualities a coastal residence can offer: a direct emotional and visual connection to the ocean. For this reason, the challenge was delicate and highly specific.
